LOVE GENERATION

Bob Sinclair
(feat. Gary Pine)

From Jamaica to the world,
It’s just love,
It’s just love,
Yeah!
Why must our children play in the streets,
Broken hearts and faded dreams,
Peace and love to everyone that you meet,
Don’t you worry, it could be so sweet,
Just look to the rainbow, you will see
Sun will shine till eternity,
I’ve got so much love in my heart,
No-one can tear it apart,
Yeah,
Feel the love generation,
Yeah, yeah, yeah,
Feel the love generation,
C’mon c’mon c’mon c’mon yeah,
(Whistling…..)
Feel the love generation,
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Feel the love generation,
Ooohhh yeah-yeah,
Don’t worry about a thing,
It’s gonna be alright,
Don’t worry about a thing,
It’s gonna be alright,
Don’t worry about a thing,
It’s gonna be alright,
Gonna be, gonna, gonna, gonna be alright,
Why must our children play in the streets,
Broken hearts and faded dreams,
Peace and love to everyone that you meet,
Don’t you worry, it could be so sweet,
Just look to the rainbow, you will see
Sun will shine till eternity,
I’ve got so much love in my heart,
No-one can tear it apart,
Yeah,
(Whistling…..)

reality tv

Reality T.V. is everywhere, whatever channel you're hook up to, whether it's local or through cable, this new t.v genre is really a phenomenal. I first noticed this kind of genre through the show, "Who wants to marry a millionaire", then there's "Joe millionaire", and alot of dating show followed. But the one of the first reality show that became very popular was "Survivor", the one who starts with all this "voting-out" thing. Then there's this American Idol, Big Brother, The Apprentice and so on.

For this blog entry, I would like to post my 10 favorite reality shows, both local and foreign and my favorite contestant or cast for that particular show. Usually, my bet for that show don't usaully win... these are in random order

1. Amerca's next top model season 4
I posted a blog entry re this show. It was Rebecca that made me hook to it. She looks like Bianca King, but ofcourse, an upgraded version. Naima won the cycle 4 (who also looks great). The 5th cycle is now being shown in Starworld Channel and on Studio 23, they're a bit late coz they're featuring the cycle 3 still.

2.Survivor Africa
Although that Ethan guy won the show, it must have been Lex van den Berghe for my bet eversince the show started. A bit scheming, but he's a very strong personality that a survivor must have.

3. Simple Life Interns
It is not a contest but it is definitely a reality show. It was Paris that made ignited me to watch it but it came out as Nicole Richie (Lionel's adopted daughter) to capture my interest. She's very witty and has a very bold personality. She's hot...

4. MTV shows
From "Punk'd", to "The Osbournes", from The Newlyweds to Becomming, from "I bet you will" to "Boiling point".. there's a lot actually, I can't even remember them all. but most of the time, I always have a a chance of watching "Pimp my ride". Some shows that I used to watched with MTV's reality shows also include Dave and Carmen, till death do us part, Crib, I want that famouse face, and ofcourse, "Laguna Beach"...

5.Pinoy Big Brother
I'm also fond of local shows, though most of them were patterned from the tv shows abroad. One of these would be the Big Brother by Endemol productions. Last year, PBB took us by storm. The Million Dollar Franchise of ABSCBN was worth paying for since the made noise throughout the entire archipelago. Say Alonzo was my bet on the first season, but was votted out and didn't even made to the finals. I wasn't hooked up with the Celebrity and teen edition so I don't have my bet. Say is gorgeous, I met her at the ABSCBN lobby.. I was stunned.

6.American Idol
Well, we had glimpse of talent search show in the form of "Star Search" in the 90's . That's when we first saw the ever famouse Britney Spears. I learned about A.I. just when Kelly Clarkson won the 1st season, and I got interested to it when Jasmine Trias made it to the top 3. The recent season made me more into it, it's just that Taylor Hicks won while my bet, Chris Daugherty made it to the top 4. Fantashia, Reuben, and Clay Aiken are the past winners of this talent search.

7. Star In a Million (season 1)
yup, most of the new and successful singers of today came from this show. Last night I watched MTV Pilipinas 2005 and I was surprised that the Best new male was Christian Bautista, whcih also a product of this talent show. Sheryn Regis is also one of the talents of ASAp that came from that show. Although Eric Santos won, it's Marinelle Santos, for me. could have won... She really got the talent and "attitude".

8. Amazing Race 4
Riechen and Chip won... They even landed here in the Philippines for some tasks but left on the same day.

9. Project Runway
I failed to watch the first few episodes but luckily I was able to watch the complete fisrt season on DVD. It was Jay who won but for me, it could have been Kara Saun since she won most of the tasks.. The second season is already finished in the states and the winner even designed the Long gown of Ms USA for MS Universe Pageant.. but I think by next week, it's gonna be shown on ETC.

10. Rockstar Supernova
yup, after the phenomenal "Rockstar INXS", here comes another headbanging talent search for Rockstars. The band "Supernova" is searching for their new vocalist, and take note, the band consist of Tommy Lee, Jason Newsted and this certain guitarist.. hehehe,,, sorry I don't exactly know his name but I'm sure that he came from a popular band since the two were famouse too... I guess that it would be Dilana or toby who will win.... you can catch Rockstar Supernova on Starworld every Wed and Thursday morning at 8, or visit rockstar.msn.com

here are the list of my not so favorite reality shows..

-Beaty and the Geek
-The 5th wheel, and other dating shows on ETC
-Average joe
-Biggest Loosers
-The Swan
-How clean is your house?
-and all other "let's-makeover-your-house" shows on the Lifestyle network.. hehehe

SM Clark, Slap her she's french, Brandon Routh, etc

Everybody loves Superman and wherever I go, the name "Brandon Routh" is associated to everyone's conversation. He's the hottest personality right now whether in Hollywood or here in the Philippines. As everybody has noticed, he just looked like the first Superman, Christopher Reeve. But one thing he do not have naturally, It's Clark Kent's Blue eyes. According to some reports, He wore blue contacts during the shoot.. but it didn't fail him to potray the newest Man of Steel. I can say he's effective on that role. I just hope that we don't need to wait again for so long just to see him again flying....

Speaking of Superman, I've watched it the 2nd time at SM Clark (though I'm not really a Superman fanatic but I just accompanied Emill coz he haven't seen it yet). I still can't beleive that the city that I grew up with has it's own SM mall. it was opened last May but it was my first time to visit it last week. When I was still staying in Pampanga, I used to think that if only Henry Sy would invest in our place, it would definitley a big hit.

Back in highschool, me and my friends travels to Luisita Mall (tarlac) to watch a movie since movie houses in Angeles stinks (Good thing is that one of my friend has a car so it's easier...). Then Jenra mall opened followed by some other Malls(Nepo, Robinsons etc.). Then there was this SM Pampanga (another long travel).

Another Movie that I watched recently on DVD was "Slap her she's french"/(Freche Biester) at E-D's . A 2002 film that starring Piper Perabo and this newcomer Jane Mcgregor. hmmnn, it's not well commercialized that's why, I guess, it's not shown here... but It made me laugh.. better than "Scary Movie 4" and "Date Movie".

Missing You

by Tamia, Brandy, Gladdys Knight and Chaka Khan
from the Original Soundtrack of one of my favorite flick "Set-it off"

Chorus:Though I'm missing you
(Although I'm missing you)
I'll find a way to get through
(I'll find a way to get through)
Living without you
'Cause you were my sister,
my strength, and my pride
Only God may know why, still I will get by
Who would've known
That you'd have to go
So suddenly and so fast
How could it be
That a sweet memory
Would be all
All that we have left
But know that you're gone
Everyday I go on
(I go on)
But life's just not the same
(Life's just not the same)
I'm so empty inside
And my tears I can't hide
But I'll try, I'll try to face the pain
(CHORUS)
Oh, there were so many things
That we could have shared, uh-huh
If time was on our ide
(Time was on our side)
Now that you're gone
I can still feel you near
So I'll smileWith every tear I cry
(CHORUS)
How sweet, were the losses to spare?
But I'll wait for the day
When I see you again
See you again
(CHORUS)
I'm missing you

Superman, Wendy Pepper, ANTM, etc

I've seen Superman at the Podium yesterday.... I was amazed. It's one of the movies that made me so enthralled with special effects, especially with the flying scenes, and all. It was a great job for Brian Singer.

Last week, I watched the complete first season of "Project Runway". It is another reality based t.v. show and it is all about the aspiring fashion designers in the U.S. Every episode, they were given a task to create a couture dress according to the weeks team. Each contestant were alloted a certain budget and time to come up with their own design.

There was this one candidate named Wendy Pepper who caught my attention from the very first episode. A mean and self-scheming mom from Virginia. She was one of the first character on a T.V. show that affected my mood ever. She really got into my nerves. I don't wanna spoil it, you just have to find out why. Although the show has been aired a few years ago in the states, you will stil be able to find out 'coz the show is still being aired on the ETC. Find out and u'll see....

Another T.V. show that I'm really hooked up with would be the America's next top model aired every Monday at 10 pm also on the ETC. Unfortunately, my bet, rebecca has been voted out 2 episodes go. Rebecca has a very sweet loooking face that I've attracted to... she reminds me more of Bianca King.. my crush.. haaaay...

I have a favorite song from the Project Runway, it's A'l'infini by Lisa Reagan, and it is so hard to search for lyrics and atleast a copy in the internet. I'm really addicted to it... 'hope I could look for one...
